Credits and refunds

How credit arrives, how it is spent, when it ends, and when it comes back.

Last updated [date]

What is a credit?

Credits pay for what Fraqtl makes, from one price list: 1 credit a picture and 3 credits a second of video, counted by the clips the model makes. Building your brand, writing, voice, music, captions, checks and exports are included. The list, and what typical ads cost, are on the pricing page. Each plan and top-up sells credits at its own price, also on that page; a credit buys the same work however you bought it. Credits have no cash value and cannot be moved to another account.

Plan credit lasts the month

Your plan’s credit arrives each month when it renews. Whatever is left at the next renewal ends then, and the new month’s credit arrives. Plan credit is always spent first, before any credit that doesn’t expire.

Other credit doesn’t expire

Top-ups, the free credit a new account is given, and credit we add by hand stay on your account until you spend them. Anyone on a plan can buy a top-up; an account without a plan chooses one first.

The free first ad

A new account gets free credit once, after confirming its email address, enough for a preview of a first ad. Until you choose a plan, ads are previews made on quicker models and carry a small Made with Fraqtl mark; plans make ads on the best models we offer. Once you have bought a plan, export a preview again and the mark is gone, or ask Fraqtl to make it again at full quality, which is charged like any other work.

How is credit spent?

When work starts, Fraqtl sets aside its price from the list. When the work is done, you pay the list price for what was made, never more than was set aside, and anything set aside beyond it comes back. Every ad has a spending limit you choose, and with Ask me first, Fraqtl shows the cost of the video and waits for your yes.

Failed work is refunded

If a picture or a clip fails and cannot be made, the credit set aside for it comes back to you by itself. Writing, voice, music and checks are included, so a failure there costs nothing. If you press Stop, work that hasn’t started is cancelled and its credit comes back; a model already drawing is allowed to finish, and is charged if it does.

Changing your plan

Moving to a bigger plan is charged in full at once and starts a new month, and the plan credit you had left comes with you. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at your next renewal.

How do I cancel?

Open Billing in Fraqtl and choose to manage your plan; Stripe’s page lets you cancel. Your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, then stops, and its credit ends with it. Credit that doesn’t expire stays.

Refunds of payments

[Refund policy to be decided: for example, a refund of a plan payment on request within [N] days if none of its credit has been spent.] This does not affect any right to a refund you have by law. Write to support@fraqtl.com.
